Rather, we read about those who lived the hardest lives earth could give, and still they persevered and triumphed over all their foes! Lives that change the world are often dealt the hardest hands.

Just as a piece of coal can become a diamond under extreme pressure; we can become polished gems in the aftermath of our afflictions.

If your life has been flooded with pain and heartache, just know you are in good company and that you are not alone. Those who lead happy lives despite the flood of pain and heartache, are the greatest souls that have ever walked this earth. 

Khalil Gibran said it best... "Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
